I have the vbgoremania version of this engine and i do not know how to change a peice of code.

Ok so their is two body layers. Body, and Default Body. The Body layer is displayed over the default body so you can have armor over the skin body.

Now the same goes to hair layers. Hair, then default hair. But, the hair layer does not display over the default hair. Only one at a time is diplayed. Once the hair is active the default is hidden and then re-shown once the hair is removed.
In this case if you put a helmet on the players hair hides. How do i change this so that the hair layers act like the body layers and one diplays over the other?

I guess you would try to mimic the body code. That would be the only way.

I just had an idea. Why don't we post the source of the engine online in text (With the exact formatting.)

It would solve a lot of issues and make it easier to view the code for people not at their "Development PCs"

I'll make a wiki page that list the source or something.

Yep, thanks to that wiki page, I confirmed that it is Engine_Render_Char.
