I try to be a lurker on both.

Nah I doubt vbGORE is going to die.

Maybe we can optimize vbGORE and see if we can fix the lag. ^^

I think the problem was more about network concurrency than anything else. In terms of performance optimisation, none is needed client nor server side im pretty sure.

Well you can always optimise it more, anything could be optimised more but vbGore is definitely right up there.

Haha it would be cool to just merge these forums onto the Netgore forums. Although that would be a lot of work for Spodi/Nex.

It might actually be pretty easy (though a bit time consuming to set up the structure relationship), but the problem would be that we'd have a TON of posts that even pre-date NetGore, are not related to NetGore, and don't fit any of the subjects available at NetGore.

Unless you mean have a separate sub-forum for vbGORE on NetGore, but that would make it feel like vbGORE is a dead and unloved project that was just slapped into NetGore to give it a last tiny chance at life.

More like taking the vbgore forums and adding a new category (thats what phpbb calls them right lol) called vbgore and put the vbgore forums under there. This would work for most of the forums but offtopic etc it would be better off having them merged.

NetGore uses the Drupal forum (or a related module), while VbGORE uses phpBB. It may be a bit time-consuming...

Have some life would be better than no life at all. vbGore deserves some publicity so those 'kid game makers' might get some experience out of using it.

They should be using Elysium or Xtremeworlds or whatever it's called... DX8 it for big kids who wear pullups :)

I learned a lot from Elysium, it was how I learned my first programming language, vb6. I just wish someone would offer support for it, maybe I should :P
