 Post subject: Adding skills questions

Im trying to add a new spell, lets call it "MegaHeal", essentially the same heal that comes pre coded but with my own values (mana cost, heal value) but am unsure where to define the skill id.

I'm still learning vb and is very possible I'm missing something very obvious.

Ive added the PC-PC, PC-NPC and NPC-NPC public subs and am unsure where to go from there.

I guess I should have mentioned that I was following the wiki I just seemed to be stuck. Please remember my knowledge of vb, though I'm working on improving is still limited.

Either way after spending a bit more time with the code I have successfully added the spell.

Another question though. New characters are not given all skills upon creation but the skill icons remain on the bar, unusable. Probably something else I should spend some time looking at, just thought I'd post an update on the added spell.

Check the game.ini file, they're just saved there.

Another problem. When I change the class requirement of any skill the requirement works but characters known skills no longer appear when shift-clicking the quickbar.

edit; this only happens the first time a character logs in.
