Nope. Same version of the .NET framework, since it is just the IDE expansion and extra tools that you are paying for. Also, don't think VS2005 can target the .NET 3.0 framework, or use XNA 2.0. You can also just install both, since they don't conflict with one another.

Ok, thanks. Cleared up a lot. I did some research and yeah, their is a bit more but nothing major or really worth it. (Linq and all those W acronyms)

I have VS2008 Pro and I agree with spodi, there isn't a lot more in there that I use. There are a LOT more templates sure, but I've only used a couple of them, obviously you can use XNA with it, but you can use XNA with C#Express anyway.

I think I'll buy the next one or something of that sort. Visual Studios 2012 or 2013? can't really remember. Thats going to look sort of weird.
