Well i was thinking of making this to assist vbgore users,
it will be an assortment of php scripts with a very easy to use
admin panel.

the user must login to the admin panel by using a httpconfig folder protection
or a login that pulls the username from the gameserver and checks if the user is a GM.

the user from this panel would be able to add quests, add npc's, add quests ect...
the user would also be able to view the above and edit them if needed.

so what do you guys think,
if anyone wants to help me with the little project then contact me on the forums,
We would need a graphics designer, web designer
and thats probably it..

It sounds a bit useless to me.
The only people that I think would use it are those GM's that don't have access to the server to edit the files. Also I personally think it's a bad idea to allow other GM's to add content like that, not only because of possible abuse but also for any kind of bug. Such as a GM writes a new quest with a variety of new NPC's and items, and adds it to the game without testing or getting the input/approval of other GM's.
Not should be put into a live server until it has undergone testing to ensure it works smoothly.

But hey, if you're willing to write it anyway, I'll be happy to give it ago and find any exploits to possibly hijack your server :D

lol
if i was writing it i would be writing it mainly for the people who will use it
the people who complain about adding items, npc's,quests ect. to the database.

It would be mostly for noobs lol.
but it would greatly help with the production of games.
the code would be released opensource just in case you add some of your own vb6 code and a few fields into the mysql db, you can then edit the server manager to work with your code..

so what do you say everybody...
if someone can pitch in some nice graphics then i think we can get this little project online?

our team is doing something like this, but we will not release it to the public becouse of interall game security.

such a thing for adding quests, spawn points, new npc's etc is a usefull tool for the staff/GM's that do not have the actual knowleage in a certain aspect of the game and still be able to do things.

It would be cool, i have several people on the team that could do the labor like this, adding npc's and such, that can't be bothered to learn any code.

User must be a GM to login, no real point in making a seperate table.

If you need help let me know.
