I'm curious as to how to code the movment to where the character would at first, face the correct direction of the key press without moving, and then if the key continues to be held down, then move. Anyone have any ideas? I've been playing with it, but I just can't get it right..

Ok :) so what I have done is:

Search for:
Code:
Sub Engine_MoveUser(ByVal Direction As Byte)

and right after the dims add:

Code:
   If CharList(UserCharIndex).Heading <> Direction Then
            sndBuf.Put_Byte DataCode.User_Rotate
            sndBuf.Put_Byte Direction
        Exit Sub
    End If

It's quick. Very quick, but if you tap the key you will just look that direction and not move.

I'm no Spodi but give me a problem and I will figure a way around it.

A program is: Someone who solves a problem you didn't know you had. In a way you don't understand. Enjoy! And if this qualifies perhaps move it to the knowledge base? *shrugs*

OR...

hold shift and press the arrow key to move to the direction you want to look at. Then to look left/right, just type /lookleft or /lookright. Spodi wins!

But really, that's already implimented. Thank you, though, ChAsE! Sorry I didn't get to this post earlier.
