Megalith is a free Online RPG currently in development but soon to be released. In Megalith the gameplay is all about Roleplaying, instead of plain action.. Thats why ive decided to use Non-Directional sprites with an Paperdoll system.. and a race system. That way i can focus on creating as many items for the players as possible.. giving each player an unique look depending on their equipment and race. Other than the Engine Megalith will use 100% custom made graphics made by me. ( ZoSo ).. Since the engine is so complete allready i wont have any use of an coder.. Since most Bug-Fixes and so on will be fixed by Belier13, the person who Coded the engine.

Some of the game featuers you'll get to experience are these.

- A living world, various amount of different areas for you to explore.. Interesting Cities and Towns made from different Cultures based on the Megalith Lore.
- Interactive NPC's giving out vast amount of information, rumors and quests!
- Six different Races, all having their special bonuses and appearance.
- Four very Different Classes, all good in their way, but powerfull when combined in a group.
- An advanced Spell Feature, including Spell Ranks and different amount of spell effects.
- A great amount of Items, Spells and Quests!
- The freedom to be Evil or Good.

so why stick with mirage? if you keep having problems with getting a reliable programmer and you're going to try to do it yourself along with starting from scratch why not make the switch to vbgore?

hmm well its not too hard,
I only used to code in c++ way back when (refreshing now as im in an IT school)
i looked at vbgore and actually learned most of my current (very incomplete) vb6 knowledge

never read a tutorial or anything, though i might work a lil more into vb6 soon xD

well, it could get hard finding help for MS here.
I myself have used both engines, and i must say:
I have seen the light! Noway im looking at MS ever again (well, except for that screenshot up there xD)

However you could get loads of help from us on getting started with vbgore here.
the wiki also helps learn a lot ^^

Looks boring...i don't mean it in a mean way but yea it's pretty boring. Maybe it's the colors, graphics, GUI or something.

The buttons with the actions on them are the sex! Nice graphics. Also, I'm a huge fan of paperdoll concepts, so it's nice to see that you have that working. Overall the game is very pretty-looking. Perhaps I'll play when it gets all done and ready.

I don't think that style is boring at all. It has a nice unique quality to it overall, so I think it's going rather well from the looks of it.
