Skye. If your not going to help. Shut up.

cheatking. It seems you've skipped a step in the install. My guess is you still need to install the odbc.
"2. Click to download ODBC 3.51. If and only if this download does not work for you, you may try an alternative download from the ODBC 3.51 site here."

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/3.51.html to download ODBC 3.51

that shouldnt be the problem. msado.dll is microsoft's access data object library and comes with windows, not odbc.
are you possibly using a really old version of windows, or running vbgore through an emulated environment?
the file should be in your system32 folder, if it is try registering it manually. if for some odd reason it's not, you can get the latest version of the lib from microsoft.com

Run (WinKey + R) > Cmd > regsvr32 c:/windows/system32/msado32.dll

replace msado32.dll with the actual file name. different versions and service packs of windows will have different library names. the latest for download from MS is, i think, msado18.dll. at least for xp it is.

Or install the runtime/library files might work?

@Richardf
With google I mean "search before you post". I'm pretty sure this question has been asked a few times before.

are you following the instructions darkfrost gave or are you just double clicking the dll?

Darkfrost' wrote:

nope, like i said, it comes with windows since an essential lib for any app that uses a database. including access databases.

you really shouldnt have to register it in the first place. if you really cant figure it out though, just go to microsoft.com and download the latest msado. the installer will take care of it all.

just out of curiosity, what version of windows are you running anyway?
