When I try to start the server it just goes to my tray and disappears. Theres not even a process in my task manager.

Anyone got an idea on what the problem or how to fix it?

No error messages or anything?

Run it through the VB6 IDE and see if anything pops up.

Doing that now. I don't even get an error message.

I tryed running it in VB6 IDE and VB6's workspace environment changes so that it looks like I'm testing something and then instantly changes back. So it does the same thing.

Could you give us some info about your computer? E.g, Operating System (Version of windows), Antivirus... etc?

Windows XP (not sure what service pack), Kaspersky Internet Security and Mcaffe. My antivirus software usually alerts me when it is about to close something so I'm not to sure what the problem could be.

Tried putting a stop in and stepping through till it does this?
That'll determine the error.

Try closing down all your anti-viruses just in case. Also, make sure you are running it locally instead of trying to make it public.

Is it the game server or account server that is crashing?

game server. the account server works fine. and i'll try it.

It didn't work with the anti-virus software off. I'll try running it on my vps, only wanted it to run on my computer so that it would be easier to test. And as far as I know it should work perfectly on my vps.

Try restarting your comp, then click game server first,
could the problem possibly be with mysql?

Ok do any of you even know anything about this engine? I know Spodi and NEX do :D but come on people...

Anyways your problem is you need to go to server settingsfolder in NS and make sure you change SQL settings. Also make sure you set up the database in sqlyog.

It's kinda hard to debug source that you can't see. >_>

Maybe, but I think it would probably error out if it had trouble connecting. I mean, Spodi coded it.
