Well, it takes a long time to realize its an old version.
Maybe have a "version.txt" or so compare,
it seemed it swould check it file or so,
took over 30 seconds....

Svo.svd holds the version, that is compared to what's in the server.ini I have no idea why it's so slow for you because it sure isn't for me :)

I can't log in, and I really wanna play.

The log in screen loads then when I click on conect it locks up and says it's not responding.

We've editted the http updater that is posted in the show off section so it actually works. Next updater will be in v0.5

Account & batsys are slowely progressing (read: when Darkfrost feels like coding).

All that work just to start over. Granted it will be easier the second time around. Especially with what I've seen of netgore.. Well after you figure it out that is.

Well, it's not that we had THAT much done coding wise in SVO, we had a couple of features such as guilds etc but since that's default now we'll actually will have the same amount of stuff ingame faster. The sad thing is we will have to rebuild the maps.

That's true. Well rebuilding the maps just take a big picture of the old ones and have at it. The new grh system in netgore is amazing. throw the tiles in the folder screw making sheets generate and bam! Tanar has so much non standard code now that I'm basically going to have to keep it and then work on netgore on the side...
