This happens when I try to connect to MySQL. The thing is..I didnt have this problem when I first downloaded everything. It let me connect and I never got the stuff set up because I didnt have enough time. I tried to connect the next day and it says I can't connect to localhost for some reason. I tried using my IP it doesnt work either. Sorry if this was posted before..but I have changed the data in server .ini file to fit to the connection and I have downloaded OBDC 3.51. Maybe I downloaded the wrong OBDC version..but I don't understand why it let me connect the first time and not the second time.

What happened between the time when it worked and when it didn't? Have you tried restarting your computer? If you got the ODBC link from the guide, then its the correct version.

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and see if you see "mysqld-nt.exe" in the processes list. If its not int here, MySQL isn't running. If you need help turning it back on just ask. :)

Nvm..I figured it out. I deleted everything and reinstalled..then everything worked out just fine. I'm new here and I have to say the engine is incredible!

Goto Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services
scroll down to MySQL right click and click start. :P

Make sure the start-up type is set to Automatic, too, so it will load every time your computer turns on.
