Cannot create service Error 0

OK the thing is that I used to have MySQL installed for another program but then I uninstalled it and now I'm trying to install it again but it keeps saying that it can't create service Error 0.

Please Help!

There could be leftover files/registry entries from the previous MySQL installation. Either remove those or choose a different service name during the installation.

i have the same problem but i had a fps server running the game went dead and now the mysql will not run at all and after i had reinstalled the mysql server and dleated the old regestory keys ect. advanced mysql unstall.

pleas help

edeit fixed ti had to change and down grade to 5.0 not 5.1 :lol:
