Hey, I've looked in VB Gore before but stuck and played around with simple game engines because I didn't think I was ready for VB. But now I'm taking a computer programming class in school and we are learning VB 2005. My question is, as I learn VB 2005 will I be able to transfer most of that knowledge to the older VB 6 that VB Gore uses? Thanks.

The two languages are quite similar, but also a lot different. I personally like VB6 better... I really learned both languages at the same time, so I'm not sure which would be better to learn first... But my guess that you'd be able to transfer knowledge of VB 2005 to VB6 pretty easily.

I'm sure if I didn't say this, someone else would. Spodi made another engine, NetGORE, in C#, which is supposed to be a lot better than vbGORE. You could try that one, since the .NET languages are similar.
