Seiken Densetsu Online

From VbGORE Visual Basic Online RPG Engine

This is a project to bring the old school Secret of Mana feeling back to the fans. We are using the original Tiles and music and a costum GUI which feels the same as the game from 1995.

None so far, but I can say that the game is around the same time in the Mana timeline as the game "Seiken Densetsu 3"

  • x Day/Night Time - Used for the beastmen offcourse ;)
  • x Week - A week, and each day some magic element becomes stronger (except for Mana Holiday)
  • x User information - The userinformation is viewed on the main screen just as you would expect from a SD3 like game :)
  • o Enemy information - We even go as far as show the enemy information the SD3 style, just what you would expect from an online rpg :)
  • o SD3 like GUI - GUI in the the style of SD3
  • o Ring Menu - We are aiming to get an Ring Menu but are not skilled enough at coding to do this at the moment
  • o Transportation with Flamie - You will be able to ride Flamie when you reach the Higher levels, and find the Winddrum
  • Class system - The same class system like SD3. See below for details.
  • Elemental System - Elements based on the spirits and day's. more information to come.

Offcourse, this game wouldn't do without Undine or Jinn..

The elemental spirit of fire. This little guy make's sure you can burn all our enemy's. Normally he's in the Fally of Scorcing flames. Fire magic is stronger on Salamando's day.
Undine
The water spirit. Found in the Ice Cave in Altena. She can drown your enemy's and make rain pour from the sky. Water magic is stronger on Undine's day.

Gnome, the earth spirit. Lives alongside with the dwarfs. He trembles the earth to shock your enemys. Earth magic is stronger on Gnome's day.
Jinn
The wind spirit. Logicaly he spends most of the time in the Corridor of Wind in Rolante. With this guy, you'll be able to use some powerfull wind spells. Wind magic is stronger on Jinn's day.

The wood spirit Dryad is capable of doing some nice status magic. She can be found right next to the Elfen village of Diore. Wood magic is stronger on Dryad's day.
Luna
Luna, the moon spirit. With this spirit you can use some pretty strong HP cutting magic. She can also heal! Moon magic is stronger on luna's day.

The spirit of light. Together with Shade he controls the day/night cycle. Wisp is the guy for the day ^^.
Shade
The spirit of drakness. Together with Wisp he controls the day/night cycle. Shade is the guy for the night ^^.

We will use the same class system found in the original Seiken Densetsu 3, however, the classes you can get depends on which Kingdom yo choose to start in. For instance, if you want to be an Death Hand, you have to be a Beastman (duh ;))

As you can see in the above the world will consist of 5 major kingdoms and 1 neutral city (Holy City Wendel). We will use the same world as the Seiken Densetsu 3 and Heroes of Mana games. The world will look like this (for those who forgot or don't know :p):

The game is still at an early stage of development, our main goal atm is to make an fully functional GUI and system behind the game (like day/night). After that we will start wich the classes, then the enemy's and maps.
